Is it true?
There are matters of opinion, and matters of fact. The problem is that most people are too busy working to have time to research every thing the politicians say.
Politifact.com is a fact checking site produced by the Tampa Bay Times which measures the truthfulness of politicians based on in-house research.
The Truth-O-Meter rates statements from “True” to “Pants-on-Fire.” There is also aflip-o-meter, which measures the latest policy flip-flops going on in Washington. You can visit the website or get the app, which features the “truth index,” a daily tally displaying how honest individual politicians have been in any given day, based on the most recent statements they’ve made.
